Birthday Party Weekend

Two weekends ago we decided to make a trip up to the DC area to visit friends and family on a very busy weekend. We spend Friday and Saturday nights at Rob and Julie's new house in Capital Hill, they had just moved in a few weeks ago so we were excited to see the place. Stacy hopped on the infamous China Town bus and came down to visit as well. We had a great time hanging out and reminiscing about the old days and having Cece entertain us all, she loves being the center of attention. It is really tough now to stay up drinking, especially with old friends, when you have to be up at 6:30 in the morning because of my baby alarm clock. It really is cute though, even when hungover, to have her standing up in the pack and play staring at you hoping you will wake up. I can't wait until she figures out if she just says "Daddy Daddy Daddy" over and over again that will wake me up faster.

On Saturday after a little bit of recovery, I took Cece up to Elkridge, MD to a place called Pump It Up for her cousin Will's 6th Birthday. It was definitely a place for older kids, but Cece enjoyed watching all of the other kids run around screaming. The place was pretty loud as you can imagine with all of the kids running around, so Cece was kind of quiet the whole time because of that. I took her with me on a few of the blowup rides, but it they were tough to navigate with other kids everywhere while trying to hold the baby. We then got some pizza and cake and headed back down to Julie and Rob's place in DC for the night. We cooked out steaks that night and stayed up late again drinking, although not as late as the night before. It was great to catch up and drink like we were in college again and share some very funny moments.

On Sunday we left early and drove to my sister's house for Logan's 2nd Birthday Party. It was quite the full house and good to see family and friends since it had been a while since we saw the whole family together. It's always fun when the cousins get together, but also so much work trying to keep the peace and keep tack of all of them. After the party we hung out while Cece napped and we watched some of the Giants game before driving back home. It was a tiring but very fun weekend!
