More Videos from January

Now that Cece is so mobile, it can be very difficult to take good photos, so we have started to rely more on video than photos. Her little personality is showing more and more each day and the video is the only way to do her cuteness justice. One of her favorite things to do is eat and drink milk from her bottle, so she learned the word bottle fairly quickly because she knew exactly what it meant. In this first video, she has just finished lunch and was ready for her bottle.

Cece tends to get sad when her bottle is gone, but is able to recognize it and come to grips with it by letting us know it is all gone. She tries to get some more, but then comes to the realization that it is indeed all gone, and pronounces her unhappiness.

She has become increasingly vocal and in turn has also been increasing her decibel output as well. It can be annoying at times, but the adverse effect of her volume is always negated by her cuteness. In this video she again demonstrates her love of the bottle. 

It is pretty amazing that with all of the technology and modernization of children's toys, that still seem to want to go back to the classics. Lucky for Cece her Grandmom kept some old toys from when her Mommy was a baby, and one of those is a Bugs Bunny Jack in the Box. She has loved this toy for a while now, but has grown more and more animated to the anticipation of Bugs Bunny popping out of the box. Here I think she is doing her best Michael Jordan in anticipation.

Speaking of technology, Michelle got an ipad through work recently, and Cece has been very much into it. One of the first apps we got was the Monster at the End of this Book app and it is so cute to watch her read the book with it. We also got a little baby sign app that shows pictures of babies performing signs for different basic words. You can see that Cece is trying very hard to follow the babies, but does get a little confused on some words (silly is not Cece). She is learning pretty quickly though and we think she will be a pro at this in no time. For right now she just likes to look at the babies and jump in where she can.

Cece absolutely loves to play Patty Cake with her Mommy, but she only likes the second half of the rhyme, the rest of it she doesn't really care for. She is very serious about rolling her cake out, so much so that I think we may have to limit on the number of times she can roll it in a week or she may end up with carpal tunnel syndrome. Let's hope that doesn't happen and we can prevent it by focusing more on the patting and less on the rolling. Luckily she also has her guitar in there to distract her as well.

Cece has become very found of her dinosaur that has helped her learn to walk. In fact there are many days in which she opens the door, gets on the floor, and proceeds to walk said dinosaur. She used to be barely able to back up with this thing, now she can dance, change directions, and walk her dinosaur all at the same time. You may also notice that she refers to the dog bowl simply as "no" and likes to pick up stuff off of the carpet. At least she will have dancing and cleaning to fall back on in case her other plans fall through.
