Christmas Day

We had Christmas Day at our house, which was nice because it allowed Cece to see the tree leading up to it and then all of the presents. She is learning so quickly and will definitely know what is going to happen next Christmas she sees the tree. I am actually really looking forward to decorating the house for Christmas next year, which is not normal for me dating back to my youth when I had to haul what seemed like hundreds of boxes up and down the stairs of our old house. It continues to amaze me how much your outlook on life completely changes as a parent, especially when they are as cute as Cece is!

It was so much fun to see her come down and see all of the presents, she was so excited. As you will see in the pictures, there were a lot of presents to open, so we had to do it in waves. Think of it like a hockey game when you have three periods and two intermissions. We let Cece take it all in at first and she went and looked at each of the toys that weren't wrapped. Breakfast was served while we started opening presents and Cece got to enjoy her first cinnamon roll, which kept her busy and made her a little sticky. After a real breakfast and her morning nap, we went back to presents before lunch and after as well. It was so much fun watching her open presents, I will see if I can post some of the video soon.

We also had a really nice dinner followed by a really yummy desert that you will see in some pictures. It was such a special day and now I can empathize with the parents who go overboard a little bit at Christmas. I am really looking forward to doing this all again next year; it is always so great to get to spend time with family, and having Cece to share with them makes it even more special.

Cece made out like a bandit!

First she had the cereal bar, then she had the cinnamon roll.

I am not sure if she is tired or if she is really just not that impressed by all of her presents.

A lot of people say Cece looks just like her Mommy.

A lot of people also say she looks like her Daddy.

She is trying to call this "Santa" person and thank him for all of the gifts.

Cece also got to enjoy some Not Yo Momma's Banana Pudding.

She REALLY enjoyed it; she gets that from both of us.
