Cecelia is Eight Months Old!

It really is amazing how quickly time goes by, and it is accelerated when Cece is learning at least one new thing a day and is growing so much right before our eyes! She was able to get a lot of interaction time with her cousins, which is great since she doesn't go to a day care and get exposed to other children most of the day. It is nice to have some socialization with exposure to other kids, but it is also nice not to have to deal with the other things you get from a day care.

Cece has been starting to advance so rapidly and is perfecting old tricks like raspberries, sticking out her tongue, and making all kinds of vocal noises. I feel like she is really close to saying her first word, and I keep on saying Da-da hoping she will learn and repeat it. She is also getting very close to crawling long distances, she has been able to get up in the position for a while, but now she is staying in it longer and building her coordination to move her arms and legs in sync. She is even getting better and better at standing up, and can sometimes only use one hand to balance herself while standing. I think she could start walking very quickly after she starts crawling, but we will have to wait and see!

It is things like this that make it hard to focus sometimes at work and make me want to leave at a reasonable hour to ensure I maximize my time with her. Michelle is the same way and she can't wait to get home to see her. We just hope not to miss all of the big milestones coming up, but know that our Nanny will be there to video it for us.
