Date Night

We are all checked in at the hospital and went through the first exam. Michelle is still only 1 cm dilated and about 50% effaced. She has already got the cervical catheter and an IV catheter for fluids and drugs later in the process. Luckily Michelle gets a sleeping pill for tonight, and then they will start the pitocin in the morning around 6:00 AM. They monitored the baby for about 30 minutes and everything looked great with her.

Now we are just getting comfortable at the hospital since we will probably be here for a few days and enjoying our last night alone. We are treating it as a date night and Michelle joked that this is the most expensive Bed and Breakfast that I have ever got for her, too bad we can't sleep in the same bed! We are well prepared with Love Actually, Bridget Jones' Diary, and the 6 hour A&E version of Pride and Prejudice; as Jess said, Colin Firth will get Michelle through this. We'll keep you updated as much as we can throughout the process!
