In what will probably be our last sporting event for a while, we spent this past Saturday at the NC State vs. BC game. It was an occasion for me to get together with some former coworkers and kick back and relax. It was a noon kickoff, so the fun started early. Tim and Kelly drove up from Sanford and brought some donuts from Sandra's (best donuts ever!) and John and Susan arrived shortly after. So we began the morning with donuts, fresh fruit, and mimosas at our house for pregame.
We headed to the field about 10 and got to the parking lot and hung out drinking mimosas, beer and wine and snacking on some sausage biscuits and mini breakfast quiches. We made it into the stadium for the pregame festivities and opening kickoff. We had seats right behind the player families, specifically Owen Spencer who's father was very proud when Owen caught a touchdown pass. Michelle made it as long as she could in a stadium seat, and we left midway through the second quarter to go back to the parking lot where it was a little more comfortable. We headed home shortly before the end of the game, and then went out for dinner at the MacGregor Draft House.
We had a great time and it was a lot of fun hanging out with some good friends we haven't seen in a while. It's going to take some adjustment getting used to not being able to go where ever we want on the weekends, but we know it will be worth it. Thanks to Tim, Kelly, John, and Susan for a great Saturday!
