My parents decided to organize an Easter Egg hunt for Easter for all of their grandchildren. My sister's in-laws were kind enough to host the egg hunt at their house which is right around the corner from my parents and oddly enough the same exact layout as my parents house. My parents also decided to have a family friend come over in an Easter Bunny costume for the kids to enjoy, and let me tell you that Cece couldn't have enjoyed the Easter Bunny more!
We first learned that Cece was obsessed with people in costumes when we want to a Walmart one weekend before Easter and they happened to have an Easter Bunny there taking photos for free. Now Walmart isn't one to spend a lot of money, so let me tell you that this Easter Bunny was scary even to me, but Cece was mesmerized by him. She would say hi to him non-stop and would try to push other kids out of the way to get to him and hug him and give high fives. We knew after this that Cece was definitely going to enjoy seeing the Easter Bunny again.
Since we knew Cece was going to be competing with her cousins for eggs (but not really because my mom was smart enough to have each child go after only one color), we decided to train her ahead of time so she knew what to do. Here is some video of Cece doing an Easter Egg hunt in her room, she picked it up really quickly!
On Easter Sunday, we happened to arrive at the same time as the Easter Bunny did, and Cecelia was beyond excited to see him get out of the car as she did. I really wish I had taken video of this, but I was too absorbed with how excited and happy she was to see the Easter Bunny. It took a while, but we finally convinced Cece to walk to the house, but she insisted that she hold the Easter Bunny's hand.
The kids all got to take turns sitting on the Easter Bunny's lap, but they had to share with Cece because she refused to get down! So her cousins ended up taking turns sitting on his lap with her as she also tried pushing her cousins down so she could have the Easter Bunny to herself.
For some reason they all thought it would be fun to "cheers" their jelly bean carrots the Easter Bunny gave them.

After visiting with the Easter Bunny, we started the egg hunt! It was a lot of fun to watch the kids of different ages searching for their color eggs. We of course were focused on Cece the whole time, so here is some video of her showing off the skills she learned before the hunt. In the first video she says "pink egg" before she picks one up, she learns so fast!
This next one I can't watch her just struggle trying to get this egg, so I help her like any father would.
The last video just shows her picking up some more eggs and how she can shake it like a Polaroid picture.
We had a great time at the Egg hunt, it was so much fun to watch all of the kids at play. Thanks to my parents for organizing and The Johnson's for hosting the party, we may have to make this an annual event. Here are some photos of the kids and the whole family after the Egg Hunt.
