Six Months Already?

This past Monday marked six months since our little girl came into our lives and changed them forever. It is really amazing to look back at everything that has happened during this time and how much she has grown and how much more we grown to love her. Every day her personality is starting to shine through and she is so much fun to be around!

Michelle took her to the Pediatrician for her six month checkup, yesterday that I couldn't go to because of a meeting at work. Her measurements were: head 42.6 cm (50th percentile) weight 17 lbs 9.5 oz (80th percentile) and length 26.5" (75th percentile). Remember that at her two month check up she was down at the 10th percentile, so the fact that she has gained 70 percentage points in 4 months is amazing! She is starting to act more and more like her parents every day!

There are so many things we can start doing with her now: sippy cup, cheerios, and some soft foods. She also started sitting up on her own, which you will see in the pictures. We are still trying to get her to sleep through the night (I give her a bottle at 11, and Michelle nurses her at 3) so we are starting to try to ween her off of those feedings. It is going to be a tough couple of weeks because she is like clockwork now and wakes up at those times and wants food. It will be better for us when she sleeps through the night though, so the hard work will pay off later.

Later in the month we have more firsts for her coming up: her first plane flight (not in Michelle's tummy) and her first trip out of the country! We are headed to Aruba at month end and we are very much looking forward to it. This will be my first day off of the entire year, so I am hoping to just relax, especially since the grandparents will be there to help watch the baby! Cece is also starting to talk so much and interact with people and the dog, I will try to get some good video and post in a week or so. Here are some pictures Michelle took of her on her 6 Month Birthday!

Thanks to Helen and Eddie for my new Easter outfit!
