End of an Era

 So the reason that I am so far behind on the blog updates is that we sold our house back in May, and moved to Chapel Hill in June. As many of you know, moving is never a fun task, and when any children are involved, you have a lot more stuff and everything is much more complicated. Luckily, we did a lot of the work before we even put the house on the market by buying a storage unit and filling it up with the "clutter" around the house. This made packing up the house easier, but moving into the new house a little harder. Thanks to a lot of help from Michelle's family and Danny, we were able to pack up our house into a 10x10 storage unit (filled to the top) and a 10x30 foot PODS.

The day before our closing, I had to get the rear window on the Edge replaced because my neighbor got a little crazy with the weed-wacker and it thew a rock threw my back windshield. Four hours and $350 later, it was back to brand new except for the scratches they put in there removing the door panel and the broken glass that is still inside the door frame and moves around every time we open or close the back door.

Saying goodbye to this house was a lot harder than I thought it would be. This was our first house, and we have had so many firsts in it, obviously Cece being the biggest and most memorable one. The house was good to us and will always hold a special place in our hearts, but we needed some more space and want to make sure Cece can get the best schooling possible, so we are moving across town.

 Tempered glass is cool stuff, the whole window was completely shattered, but it makes clean up no fun. 

 Cece's last trip to our neighborhood pool, we don't have a pool at the new house. 

Cece has been amazing through the whole process of packing up the house and is taking everything in stride. She is still learning an incredible amount of words and even starting to sing songs on her own like ABC's and Twinkle Twinkle. She is still incredibly obsessed with music and knows how to double tap the home button on my iPhone and hit the play button to get music going, and switch to the next song (which she does often). Her favorite songs are Moves Like Jagger, You Make Me Feel So..., and anything Bieber. She also still loves to dance and is learning new moves all of the time. We also started her up on using the potty, which she is very interested in. She has gone in the potty a few times now, so we are just slowly easing her into it and encouraging her to go and tell us when she needs to and giving lots of praise when she does. Our goal is to hopefully be out of diapers by 2, so wish us luck!
