Home Sweet Home

It felt great to be home after a long trip to Aruba, and we have been trying to get our schedule back to normal since then. Cece is starting to get back to her routine, which got a little disrupted mostly because she was in a new place for so long.

We started out on Friday May 20 taking a short plane ride to Charlotte where we would take the long flight to Aruba. Cece did well on that flight, but it came at the start of her morning nap time and then waiting for the next flight was also during that nap time. The long flight to Aruba all in all went very well, and she got fussy a few times (when being woken up by the stupid flight attendant pimping the US Airways Mastercard) but was calmed by Cheerios or Mum Mums pretty easily. Some pictures from the plane ride:

The weather was typical temperatures for Aruba, but the first couple of days had almost no breeze and we saw 20 minutes of rain (more rain than in my previous six visits), so this allowed us to get adjusted for the NC heat we are getting now. We weren't sure how Cece would take to the ocean and pool, but she really loved every minute of it. She never really wanted to get out of the water, but we knew it was time when she started to rub her eyes. Here are some shots from her first beach day:

The next day we decided to make a pool day since it was before the Hyatt Brunch and although she could only go in the kiddie pool, she also really enjoyed herself. There was a little girl about 3 years old in the kiddie pool for a little bit, and Cece was fascinated by her. Her are a few photos from the pool (taken the night before) and sunset on our first Saturday:

My favorite picture of my girls from the trip.

We got to see sunsets every night from our deck overlooking the sea.
Cece got to spend a lot of time in her float that her cousins before her used. It was a little bit big for her so she ended up being pretty close to the water, and once she got a taste of the salt water, she kept trying to face plant into the ocean to get more. We actually had to struggle to keep her face above water because she wanted it so much, and she would even put her hands in her mouth after sticking them in the water. I guess she is going to be like her Mommy, a salt lover! Her are some pics in the floaty:

More updates and pics to come in the next couple of days......
