Michelle's Baby Shower

This past weekend we had a lot of visitors in town, including my mom Karen, Julie, Jess and her parents, for Michelle's baby shower. Friday night we just hung out at our house with Karen, Julie, and Jess and played Apples to Apples which is a pretty fun game to play.

The shower was on Saturday at our friend Emily's house, who seems to host a lot of showers, since by all accounts she was really good at it! They just had their deck turned in to a screened in porch by her husband Craig, so it is a great place for entertaining people. The Tartalio's and Pellegrino's drove up from Pinehurst, and I got to take Jess and Julie to get the food from Le Farm Bakery (which is very yummy!) and take them to Emily's along with the presents. I loved the fact that I had to take the baby shower presents from our house, unload them at Emily's house, and then load them back up and take them back home.

While the girls were at the shower playing all of their games and opening up the presents, the boys went to Tribecca Tavern, had some beer, burgers, and watched college football. Then as I said before I got to go and pick up the girls and pack up the presents and bring them back to our house. We then all hung out at our house playing rock band and had pizza for dinner before the parents drove back down to Pinehurst.

Thank you so much to the people who made the trip from near and far and for all of the great gifts that we received; we already feel like we have almost everything that we need for our baby girl! Big thank you's to Jess, Janis, and Emily for organizing it and an extra thank you to Emily for hosting it! Here are a few pictures from the shower.
