We went to a local farm in Durham to get pumpkins and do all of that fun things that Pumpkin Patches can offer. Michelle's family came along with us to watch Cece take in the sights, and we all had such a great time. I think our favorite part was the corn pit, which was literally just a giant pit of dried corn kernals that we got to play in like a big sand box. There was even a slide that Cece went down over and over again into the corn and she could also got to put the corn into pvc pipes that would go to the cows and feed them. She is very tall for her age, in this photo the ground wasn't flat and she wasn't standing straight up.
She had a lot of fun feeding the goats.
And also enjoyed the hay ride which was a little bit of a break from the excitement.

She also enjoyed picking out her own pumpkin, and we even got to pick some right off the vine.
Probably not the most excitement you will see from her on a slide, but when we go back next year I am sure she will enjoy it even more.
We had a great time at the Pumpkin Patch and doing all of the activities that went along with it. I am sure that Cece is going to have a great time showing her baby sister around next year!
Cecelia got invited to her friend Martin's 2nd Birthday party, and I was a little hesitant to let her go since Martin was the first boy that she ever kissed. We had a talk before hand though about how kissing boys outside of your family is gross and how they have cooties, so she was allowed to go. It was actually a really nice day for October, which was great because everything was outside. They had a moon bounce that Cece wasn't really into for some strange reason, but she did enjoy the pinata.
She wasn't sure what to make of the toys and candy, and was a little shy, so we had to help her out a little with her goody bag.
She didn't have much luck before the pinata burst, so we had her take some shots at it afterwards to practice for next time.
Took a few more extra whacks at it just to make sure there was no more candy in there.
She was SO excited about her Mickey Mouse lunch box that she got from the party, thanks Martin!
With Halloween right around the corner, we weren't really sure what to do for her for a costume. There was nothing that she was particularly crazy about, and she really isn't into dressing up quite yet. She did get some fairy wings with a little dress, but she was never really crazy about wearing them. Our Nanny's son was a doctor last year for Halloween, so she brought his costume, and that is what she went as because she actually likes the idea of a doctor (but not going to the doctor or real doctors). We ended up going to a local mall where they did indoor Trick or Treating, and then also just went to a few houses in the neighborhood. She wasn't terribly crazy yet about the process of asking for candy, and some of the costumes kind of scared her, but I am sure that now she knows what candy is, next year will be a different story.
Cece on a walk a couple of days before Halloween, it is pretty rare that she stays in the stroller now, she always wants to walk and push the stroller.
I am sure Dr. Howser would be proud of our girl, she is ready to get scrubbed in.
I had to dress it up a little bit with a real stethoscope instead of the toy one that came with the costume.
This video is one of my favorites, as it shows her eating candy for pretty much the first time ever. She wasn't really sure about the whole Trick or Treating process still, but she did know what instrument a doctor uses. How many almost two year olds can say the word stethoscope and know what it is and who uses it?
