So back on January 3, we went to the Pediatrician for Cecelia's two month check up. Everything was fine except her weight, she only weighed 9 lbs 1.5 oz, and was only a 3.5 oz gain since her weight check two weeks prior. The doctor suggested we supplement breast feeding with formula, so we started giving her 1-2 oz of formula after most of her breast feedings. So Michelle was breastfeeding, pumping, and then bottle feeding with formula, so she was very busy. The hard work paid off though, because 10 days later at another weight check, Cecelia weighed 10 lbs 8.5 oz, so she gained almost a pound and a half in 10 days. We have since stopped doing formula after every feeding, but do it a couple of times a day. She is still very happy and we can see her getting bigger every day.
She is definitely starting to recognize us more and more, and smiling when we talk to her. It is so much fun to watch her learn every day, and this is just the beginning of it. It is fun to share the growing with our friends and family, and last weekend we had Stacy, Julie, and Rob come visit and meet Cecelia for the first time. It was a lot of fun to see them and we were glad that they got to meet Cece. We have lots more visits scheduled in the upcoming months, and can't wait for all of you guys to meet her!
